  • Attempt

    • 1.

By making an attempt, we will likely learn a little more about freedom, though it will probably come through a trial of some kind. However not making an attempt, we may deny ourselves the free will to choose, and the evolution of our consciousness that comes from making successful, as well as unsuccessful attempts.

  • Attention

    • 1.

Whenever attention is stimulated, then human consciousness, and seemingly the consciousness of other life forms, endeavour to seek resolution by self-discrimination, or self-integration.

  • Attention Span

    • 1.

It has been scientifically verified that human attention span is only a matter of seconds. Yet imagine if our attention span was unlimited, perhaps every human being would, in a matter of a few hours, days or weeks, be able to focus on the meaning of existence and become enlightened. Therefore the question needs to be asked, “Why is our attention span so limited?” And additionally, “Why is it that only with disciplined practices such as meditation, can attention be prolonged?” Perhaps, from a scientific point of view, attention span is short, so that we are not overwhelmed with keeping vast amounts of information in the forefront of our consciousness. Or from a creative spiritual viewpoint, that we do not want to become enlightened too quickly, so that we experience a form of spiritual ignorance for much, if not most of our time whilst on earth. If this is so, then surely there is likely to be an enlightened reason for it.

  • Attitude

    • 1.

Most states of mind are chosen. If we understand this, we can allow ourselves to live more freely, happily, and spontaneously.

  • Author

    • 1.

The moment we begin to live as the author and creator of our life, is the moment we feel internally energised with a loving purpose and responsibility, so that we begin to live our own life, rather than exist as a victim of others or of circumstance.

  • Auto-Pilot

    • 1.

Are we conditioned to run our lives on auto-pilot, and therefore not be fully present? Do we repeat what others say or do, as though it is our own? Do we automatically say polite or excuse-making statements? Do we keep doing something, long after we know something has changed? And do we give the same pre-recorded socially accepted answers to others? If we are overly running our lives on auto-pilot, we are living subconsciously, and therefore living largely unaware.

  • Available

    • 1.

Are we available with all our heart, for love, happiness, and our true passion? If we are, then are we ready to serve our life’s purpose and to walk our true path? Perhaps only then are we fully accessible, able to be effective, and able to attain. We may ask ourselves, “Are we truly available?”
