Ego’s home
- 1.
The contained yet radiant joy of some people, appears to be because they have embraced and largely encompassed their egos into a state of mindfulness, as well as heart-centred contentment, within their true nature, and therefore they live with a calm and knowing surety.
Elan Vital
- 1.
To live with Elan Vital, requires some foundational elements that can steer our life in such a manner. At first some of these elements may not seem to be particularly relevant, but once we are aware of their potency, we realise their necessity. The first being Responsibility; and to live with a balanced, coherent responsibility to ourselves, to others, and to nature. The second being a balance of Routine, which gives our life a foundation upon which we can be free. And whilst doing our daily routines, we can remind ourselves of their importance. The third is Inspiration; to be curious and to seek inspiration through our interactions with nature and others, so that we can make discoveries and be creative. The fourth is Connection; to seek the connecting elements of truth and love throughout life. The fifth element is Presence; and to live simply, simply breathe, and to be calmly present and aware to the immediate reality and our personal experience of life. The sixth element is where elan vital blossoms into Joy; the joy of being alive, and to live with love, happiness, gratitude, peace, humour and laughter.
Elegance
- 1.
Ultimately elegance is not a fashionable disposition, but rather a state of being in harmony with nature, or with our immediate environment. The following are some of the elements of elegance… (1) Mindfulness creates elegance. (2) With elegance we live in stillness. (3) We realise the subtlety of our senses and we use them more delicately. (4) We move with grace and dignity. (5) We speak what is appropriate. (6) We do what is simple and effective. (7) We choose to cultivate gentleness, harmony and beauty. (8) And therefore, elegance is the practice of aligning with the virtues of our true nature or soul.

Embarrassment
- 1.
Fundamentally we are not fully facing the immediate situation, when we are awkward or embarrassed. We are only half-turned towards it, and therefore not fully self-empowered, we turn away in fear at the perceived exposure, criticism or opposition.

Embellish
- 1.
If we embellish evidence against another, whether true or so-called true, our embellishment actually creates lies, even though we may still call it truth.
Emotions
109 Contemplations on Emotions - More >>- 1.
Emotions, both those we label positive, as well as negative, I believe are generated from the stored, unresolved turmoil of the subconscious ego, or from negative conditioned thought, around largely unacknowledged issues of power and control. For the most part, emotions occur because of a semi-conscious, though somewhat chosen, often repetitive, negative mindset. Many would agree that such conditioning applies to negative emotions, but not to so-called positive emotions. However, I claim that emotions, whether negative or positive, have a similar foundation. I also believe that true or deep feelings are very different to emotions, and for example, that so-called positive emotions are always transient, for they arise from the ego expectation that things are going in our favour, yet things can often change, and positive emotions usually become dashed. This view of emotions, and the differentiation I place on feelings, may cause some readers to have an emotional response. Please read the entire contemplations section on emotions, with as clear and open a mind as possible, as I explain my reasoning. Also at the bottom of the page in the green section, under, About Wiser Day on Earth, there is a comprehensive study titled, The Contrast between Emotions and…read more…

Empathy
- 1.
The experience of empathy is similar to the loving feeling yet emotionally detached experience we have, when we align ourselves with our true inner nature. There is a mindful appreciation of all that comes to pass.

Emptiness
- 1.
Many of us grow up believing that we are empty, lacking, and not good enough. We constantly look to fill ourselves with food, sex, addictions, money, fame, power and so on. However, from the boundless view, we are essentially creative fullness and wholeness, seeking expression.
