  • Sharing

    • 1.

It is impossible for us to divide the earth equally among its inhabitants, for how can we truthfully apportion the air, the water, or the land? Yet each of us is a shareholder in it, as much as the earth itself is a holder of us. The share we are given is a most flexible one that exists momentarily in the present; it is that upon which we walk each day; that from which we breathe; and that from which we eat and drink. And because we are constantly changing shares with one another, our accountability is to make our share wholesomely beneficial, not only for ourselves, but also for those who follow. This is the only way such a share becomes viable for us all.

  • Shortcomings

    • 1.

Most of us are fairly conscious of our shortcomings as they arise, and may appreciate the well-meaning love and advice of others. However, it can be difficult for any of us to accept the overly zealous, correcting input of some people.

  • Shyness

    • 1.

The lack of confidence, distrust, self-consciousness and timidity of shyness are all a case of mistaken identity. We think that we are a limited ego filled with fears and doubts, and that we need the praise of others in order to behold the good in ourselves. However, our true ā€œIā€ appears to be the conscious, naturally confident, powerfully radiant, loving true nature, or soul.

  • Sides

    • 1.

Most human beings appear to favour one side or another. Whether it is conservative or liberal; alternative or mainstream; young or old; christian including catholic or protestant, islamic including sunni or shiite, jewish, hindu, mormon, jehovah witnesses and so on; or race whether black, white, asian and so on; or nationality including region or dialect; or one culture compared to another culture; or a particular gender and the view of the other gender; or rich or poor; or education or lack of; or professional status, management and workers; northerners and southerners, easterners and westerners, and so much more. All of these sides are upheld and driven by biased, emotional responses rather than by truth. Such biases continue to keep much of humanity divided, which perversely also seems to suit those in power. Divide and conquer has been used by the powerful throughout the ages. If we continue to be driven by our biased emotional responses, whilst firmly holding to one side, rather than being prepared to examine the truth, which is usually above sides, then we will continue to create division, upset and wars on Earth.

  • Significance

    • 1.

Everything in the universe has some significance. If we can give just a fraction of understanding for the existence of something, then our perception of life will be enhanced.

  • Silence

    • 1.

Silence is a golden pause – a still symphony of peace, where existence itself seems to fade into its pre-genesis state of rest and potential.

  • Similarity

    • 1.

We are all more similar than different. We all have a body, mind, heart, spirit of life and soul. It is only in the use of these things that difference is created.

  • Simplicity

    • 1.

Natural, conscious, unaffected simplicity, tends to cultivate innocence and purity, which may then reveal the simple, truthful path to freedom.
