Originality
- 1.
We are all here to add something of our own original, creative spark to the world, rather than copy others or be educated and conditioned to follow others. This is at the very core of our reason for being, otherwise we shall live habitually, without our own thoughts and ideas, and as pawns and followers.
Orthodoxy
- 1.
The opinions, judgments, values and morals we hold, are largely measured against orthodox standards. However, these standards are different all over the world according to the kind of society we live in, for example the standards in Hollywood are different to those in Kabul. These standards are passed on to each succeeding generation, through conditioning, both overtly and subconsciously. The closer we are aligned to such standards, the more we are considered acceptable, whilst the further removed we are, the more we are considered a rebel. However when these standards are examined, they often reflect the control, and the fear of losing control of the particular society over its members. And therefore, we are all to a greater or lesser extent, consciously or subconsciously controlled by the fear of society losing control over us. Furthermore, these societal standards, which we instinctively gauge, are measured against nameless and faceless people, and are often referred to as, “they.” However, for the most part, “they” exist as a conditioned, generalised bogeyman in our imagination. From a greater perspective, these standards are seen to be largely arbitrary rather than truthful.
Other Realms
- 1.
Much of our time is spent in a subconscious/conscious mix of mind, bodily sensation, and emotion. However there are other creative realms beyond these, such as the realm of pure ideas, the realm of love, the realm of truth, the realm of infinite wisdom, the realms of other living things, or inanimate things and so on. In fact other realms exist wherever we creatively choose to create, to explore, and spend time in.
Others
- 1.
Many of us want to have a reputation of innocence and integrity. We want to be regarded as having greater integrity, as well as doing a better job than many others. However if most of us think this way, then we have to ask ourselves who the others are, and whether they think this way too? If after pondering this, and we think that they may think this way too, then we are part of the ‘others’ to them.
Outgoing
- 1.
In order to be outgoing to people, foremost we need the inner psychological space and freedom from which to move. Love creates the space, the freedom, and the opening to be outgoing.
Overcharged
- 1.
Our biggest challenge in being ovecharged, is our own sense of outrage at seemingly being disadvantaged. But if we can look from an overviewing attitude about being overcharged, we will see that all things are in a continuing, perpetual balance in the universe. All action, reaction and non-action are part of this balance.
Overcome
- 1.
In order to overcome a situation, it is preferable that we do so by self-ascending, by seeing a higher truth, than by using our power to subdue something or someone.
Overreaction
- 1.
Whenever someone overreacts negatively, it is usually because their own subconscious fears, guilts and angers have recently been stimulated, and are now beginning to rise to the surface of their consciousness.
Overseers
- 1.
Society is increasingly being subject to more and more Overseers, particularly in the form of CCTV, online and phone technology, and ever-increasing bureaucracy. But as the famous Latin phrase says, “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?” Or in English, ”Who will guard the guards themselves?” Or a variation, “Who watches the watchers?” Unfortunately, as technology evolves, and we move further into an AI future, eventually the guardians or watchers will likely not be human.
Overview
- 1.
With any experience of stress or a burden of any kind, we have reduced ourselves into a restricted space, and will suffer its associated tension. In order to emerge from this state, we can open to an expanded, infinite view above our stress and burden, where we feel lightness, understanding, and a gentle embrace.
