  • Offence

    • 1.

Ignorance of offence, is likely to be caused by innocence, rather than by unreasonable or biased ignorance.

  • Offguard

    • 1.

During the course of our life, we will occasionally be caught off guard with old attitudes and judgmental responses. Or perhaps suddenly be blamed or attacked by others mentally, emotionally or even physically, so that we may lose our centre through reacting, being over emotional, and therefore lose a more mindful response. Such experiences are best considered to be a wakeup call, in order to deepen the awareness of our true nature, and its presence.

  • Old

    • 1.

Perhaps the most enlightened understanding of the word “old” is that which keeps faith to its original essence and intention, and is therefore less corrupted, more harmonious, as well as accepted and perennially current, whilst embracing and yet transcending a high degree of change. Therefore it becomes an archetype for excellence.

  • Omission

    • 1.

The truth hidden from others by our omission, is heard just as loudly as a lie by our conscience.

      ***

  • Omnipresence

    • 1.

Omnipresence begins to appear whenever our heart compassionately, sublimely, or boundlessly opens and blossoms with a greater awareness. From inside this blossom, we may witness an offering of an emerging, insightful, petal of knowing, which ultimately we realise can only be nourished by omniscience, and sustained by omnipotence.

  • Once

    • 1.

If we live in the moment, we do everything only once, and it is done forever. If we do not live in the moment, it appears we can do the same thing many times.

  • Oneness

    • 1.

Being at one with our own spiritual ideal, we also experience a sense of being at one with the greater spiritual dominion that seems to extend beyond the earth, and perhaps even beyond space and time. However, when we are one with the mundane world, there is only limited extension or union possible.

  • Open-Minded

    • 1.

Being truly open-minded, means having the capacity to allow a new idea or perspective to enter our understanding, without believing that our current world-view or self-view are being threatened. Although closed-minded views exist across the spectrum of society, the most divisiveness can occur between those in the expert, bureaucratic or professional sectors, and those who are outside of these sectors. Unfortunately, many individuals with a professional or vested interest in maintaining the status quo, believe that directly being questioned by someone outside of their status, and who speaks with an open-mind, denies truth, when clearly the opposite is true. In reality, rigid, box-like thinking, as well as closed-mindedness among professionals, bureaucrats and experts, who are not willing to look, listen, research or investigate, can obscure or deny the truth. Fundamentally we must realise that truth is not denied or destroyed by being open-minded.

  • Openness

    • 1.

The secret of the universe is that it is open, and that it is we who are opening to it. The most potent force that creates openness is love, and the paramount action that love creates in human beings is that of opening.

  • Opinion

    • 1.

Ultimately truth cannot be upheld by the blind opinion that leaves out love for others. For example, when two indignant opinions vie equally for truth, it is more likely that the one who yields to the other first, is the one that is more in alignment with truth.
