  • Resentment

    • 1.

Resentment occurs from a perception of inequality, or that something we expected did not eventuate, and therefore we believe that we were not understood or valued enough by others. Resentment often precedes wanting to get even through revenge. Consequently if we focus on resentment, we will likely seek revenge. Alternatively, it is preferable for us to re-focus on our deeper aspirations, whilst taking into account the lesson and meaning of our failed expectation.

  • Resistance

    • 1.

Unexamined and unexpressed resistance, for example to aspects of work, relationships, family and so on, will inhibit our own joy and vitality. Unexamined resistance creates stubbornness, indignation, defiance and can lead to self-righteous confrontation.

  • Resolution

    • 1.

The power of resolution is in transformation, for when a resolution is reached, our previous beliefs, intentions, or way of life are being transformed.

  • Respect

    • 1.

We may respect convention, or we may respect the cohering awareness of the soul. It seems difficult to serve both.

  • Responsibility

    • 1.

Responsibility arises from our ability to respond appropriately, not just from surface egocentric levels, but from our deeply perceptive consciousness.

  • Restriction

    • 1.

Our most significant restriction is our self-imposed inability, holding back and unavailability to love. This likely closes more opportunities than all others.

  • Results

    • 1.

We are a society largely focused upon results rather than causes. Unfortunately this also means that we are often more ready to deplore the outer, without deeply examining the inner.

  • Retreat

    • 1.

It is to the benefit of all that we respect one another’s fundamental necessity for retreat and privacy. From out of the rest of solitude, without the arising of ego because of the presence of others, we may partake in society in a renewed way.
