  • Untruth

    • 1.

Untruths are generally told for self-gain, saving face, or hurting others. All create inner disharmony and have the capacity for creating outer disharmony.

  • Unworthy

    • 1.

We can only create a sense of being unworthy by looking through the illusory eyes of an invalidating ego. Therefore being unworthy arises from not seeing the highest truth of ourselves.

  • Uplift Others

    • 1.

Surely we are here to bring out the very best in each other. What is it that we can do to help those around us make the best of their life path, in order to bring out the most beneficial and fruitful aspects of their bodily, mental and spiritual faculties? In drawing another out, we help increase their confidence and competency not only to their advantage, but also for the benefit of others as well as the earth.

  • Upset

    • 1.

If we stubbornly keep hold of an upset, rather than look at causes and solutions, then we are choosing to remain in a largely subconscious state of victimhood of our own negative emotions. Essentially this state will only perpetuate our pain.

Whenever we are personally upset or challenged by something or someone, we can silently say to ourselves, “What’s good about this?” This simple question can immediately broaden our perspective and open us to a happier, positive experience, rather than just a negative one. But if we can’t find something positive, it is usually because our perspective is too small and needs to be enlarged.

  • Urgency

    • 1.

The sense of urgency that many of us live our lives by, surely arises from having a finite view. If we want to live a more harmonious life, it is essential to believe that we live a deeply purposeful and transcendent forever.

  • Utopia

    • 1.

There has probably been a historical sense of utopia or paradise since the story of the garden of Eden or even earlier. A kind of utopia has been described in many cultures and myths around the world, from Atlantis to the Golden age, and from Arcadia to Shangrila. More recently, utopian ideals influenced the New Age movement, including intentional ecotopia and permaculture communities. A deep longing exists within human beings to make things better, and perhaps it is the utopian ideal that subtly influences us. But why does such a utopian urge exist within? Is it because we have somehow had it before, and so we are mysteriously familiar with it?
