Personae
- 1.
We all appear to live with a variety of personae, and we can get to choose which ones we want to play with each day. To some we are wise, to others we are a clown, to some we are domineering, others submissive, a lover, an enemy, a friend, a student, a teacher, a father, a mother, a child and so on. Some relationships flow while others appear blocked. When we interact with another, a persona is largely formed by those elements in the subconscious that require to be brought to consciousness through a process of reciprocal projection and reflection. Different personae raise different elements from the subconscious. When one persona meets another persona fully, there is a flow. If not fully met, there is awkwardness and possibly an obstruction. However, once we begin to see that our personae are not our true nature, we can begin to live more in the truth, regardless of the changing states of personae.
Personal Energy
- 1.
The kind of attitude, personality, disposition, or frame of mind that we carry with us, is our personal energy offering to our environment, as well as others we share the environment with. If our personal energy is emotionally demanding, controlling, selfish, arrogant, deceptive, avoiding, needy, manipulative, and so on, then we have not become aware of our own unbalanced state, and how it can affect others, nor taken responsibility to improve or heal it. To live with our own personal energy in as clear a state as possible, is surely the calling and obligation of every human being.
Personal World
- 1.
As children, we tend to live in our own personal world. And later, as elders, we also tend to live in our own world. Between these ages, most of us spend a great deal of time in the commercial, working world, which tends to be less of a personal world. There are obviously billions of human, perceptual worlds experienced on earth. A question we might ask ourselves is, “What is the makeup of the kind of world we truly want to create and live in, not just for ourselves, but for all?
Personalising
- 1.
Personalising or imbuing the seemingly separate parts of creation with mindful awareness allows us to reanimate seemingly inanimate matter with a spirit of gratitude. All objects, all beings, and all activities can become sacred and appear to shine and perhaps function better because we are more attuned.
Perspective
36 Contemplations on Perspective - More >>- 1.
Thinking negatively places us in a narrow perspective, and we can tend to become ignorant of other things. Thinking positively expands our perspective and we think large, we think universally, and we come to embrace all.

Pettiness
- 1.
Pettiness is a sign of something deeper, perhaps a deep-rooted anger. A person in peace and happiness is not concerned with petty issues.
Philosophers Stone
- 1.
The philosophers stone was apparently never discovered as an external, material phenomenon. And so if it exists at all, perhaps rather than it having an external reality, it may actually be an internal, human one. Perhaps the stone is a seat, where the observing consciousness of our loving wisdom, or true nature dwells. With this understanding, it could also be considered to be the cornerstone, or foundation of our existence, from where no stone or word is left unturned. (Please see contemplations on Self and True Nature).
Pilgrim
- 1.
From the scientific point of view, we descended from apes, and we are evolving through a strategy of survival of the fittest. Whereas from a spiritually poetic view, we arrived upon the sanctum of earth, ultimately to develop our awareness, wisdom and understanding of love and truth, as we journey through the various stages of life, hoping to find our personal meaning.
