  • Charity

    • 1.

Charity, or the love of others, for all practical purposes needs to be addressed in the present. Otherwise, in this powerful, authenticity-defining moment, we are avoiding love, both within ourselves, as well as without.

  • Checking-In

    • 1.

We can check-in with ourselves, life, and the awareness of our present lived experience, by using the acronym ELSEF, which includes; E for Elements…by checking those elements that comprise our external environment, such as the air, earth, water, metal, fire and so on. L for Life…the life forms in our environment, such as other human beings, animals, trees, grass, and so on. S for Senses…scanning the environment both internally and externally with our senses of smell, taste, touch, sight and sound. E for Emotions…checking to see if we have any emotions occurring. F for Feelings…checking to see if we have any feelings occurring. And then identify the emotion or feeling. If an emotion is occurring, then refer to Depression contemplation 11, which is relevant for all emotions. Otherwise if a feeling is present, much of the time It will simply be that of contentment.

We can see that a newly born child naturally acts from the intent, direction, sparkling freshness, and loving spontaneity of the mysterious, though coherent forces of infinite expression.

  • Childishness

    • 1.

The negative psychological conditioning of children is often carried into adulthood, with even childish and infantile behaviours sometimes being retained, though usually slightly modified. A child’s parental and peer group fostering of its development, is usually based on a self-centred view of itself that creates a selfish orientation, whilst ambiguously combined with a need for approval and acceptance from others. If another does not give a child what it desires, the child chooses either to withdraw, or to attempt an increase in closeness. In withdrawal they may decide not to play with a particular individual anymore, and not let them into their playgroup or gang, or they may give them the silent treatment and no longer be their friend. Whilst with the attempt to increase closeness, they may become overly pleasing, in order to acquire their needs. The adult versions of these are seen in the ignoring of others, and the forming of closed cliques that deny other people an opportunity to interact. Or in being overly servile and becoming “yes” people in order to gain acceptance. Overall though, what usually happens in both children and childish adults, is a reactive matching of strategies, either aggressively or passively. The child…read more…

  • Choice

    • 1.

“Choice” is the testing ground of cause and effect, and of our human will towards self-integration. The power of this choice is only available in the present moment. We also largely have a choice about how we choose our state of mind during each moment of life, which can affect the choices we make. Fortunately, the more we understand and follow the coherency of life, together with the universal force of cause and effect, the more we have an opportunity to learn, and therefore to make more informed choices.

To indiscriminately follow another’s beliefs, education, opinion, focus, and so on, is to ultimately prove the veracity or justification of their choice, rather than our own.

  • Clarity

    • 1.

During times of clarity, we are liberated from the dimness of ignorance and misunderstanding. If we can begin by opening, our awareness is more likely to shine, and then we can gain insight and understanding, of what is evident, and what can be resolved.

  • Class

    • 1.

The majority of people mix only within the parameters of their social class. It appears that very few people are able to socialise with both the poorest and the wealthiest people. Or in other words, the wealthy tend to move in circles with other wealthy people, and the same goes for the middle class, as well as the poorest. However, restricting ourselves to only our own circle of wealth will tend to restrict our perception, understanding, realisations, and therefore our views of people and life. Furthermore, there are other divisions in society which we may not mix with, including other races, cultures, nationalities, religions, professions, people with disabilities, sick people, people with either high or low IQ, particular sexual gender roles, and so on. If we take all of this into account, we realise that most of us live in fairly small circles.

  • Cleansing

    • 1.

Just as we clean our body daily, it is equally, if not more important for us to clean our mental and emotional states through such things as meditation, contemplation, loving-kindness, gratitude, conscious breathing, prayer, and focusing upon one’s purpose.
