  • Stubborn

    • 1.

During those times we are overly stubborn, neither listening to our own mind/body calls for our wellbeing, or to the well meaning advice of others, then we are caught in a closed reality and unable to liberate ourselves. At the same time we are rigidly ignoring a different or larger perception, yet perversely thinking that we are acting for our own highest good.

  • Stuck

    • 1.

In any stuck situation, if we can invoke the law of opposites (that is, doing the opposite to what we think, or is expected) may create change, or possibly create a solution.

  • Stupidity

    • 1.

Nobody was ever born stupid, or born to be stupid. Nobody is dumb, it does not exist. Nobody sets out to be dumb or stupid, these are solely prejudiced terms for interpretations of thoughts or actions.

  • Subconscious

    • 1.

Part of the function of the subconscious appears to be as a reservoir for both the unresolved sublime and the unresolved suppressed. The sublime that we fear is too great to let in to our personal reality, and the suppressed that we fear is too fearful to let out into the world.

  • Subjugation

    • 1.

It appears to be the direction of the evolution of our awareness, that all subjugation of others and of other species will one day end.

  • Substance

    • 1.

Substance is the apparently solid phenomenon of existence, but in reality it is a slightly slowed vibration of infinite energy.

  • Success

    • 1.

Success in mainstream society is largely dependent upon disregarding our inner meaning and purpose, in return for external material trappings and peer approval.

  • Suffering

    • 1.

We may become trapped inside a suffering ego, if we do not realise that life presents the necessary challenges, to move us beyond our ego. The suffering ego imposes its dominion upon the body and mind with states of mental, emotional and bodily imbalance that lead to disturbance, disease and finally death. Therefore it appears that we are required to surrender the suffering ego to the greater vista of our true nature. (Please see contemplations on True Nature).

  • Suicide

    • 1.

From the sacred viewpoint, we are all eternal beings. And therefore if one decides to commit suicide and kills the body, then the same level of anguish may still exist for the mind in the spiritual realm. For the problem is generally not in the body but in the persecution of one’s mind. Therefore, the only way to successfully commit suicide is to renew the mind. This is done by changing one’s current negative mindset for a new set of thoughts, without the need to destroy the body. (Please see all contemplations on Suicide). For crisis support and suicide prevention, please phone your local Suicide prevention organisation.

  • Superstition

    • 1.

Superstition arises from the naive belief that the subconscious ego is god.
