  • Conceit

    • 1.

Conceit arises from the self-inflated ego, not from the self-evident love of the soul.

  • Concepts

    • 1.

With a new concept, a light is turned on, and a new path may be revealed.

  • Condemn

    • 1.

If we speak ill of someone’s nature without their presence, we become liars. And if we speak ill of someone’s nature in their presence, we are still liars. At most we can only speak of another’s actions or non-actions, not the state of being of another.

  • Condescend

    • 1.

We are all capable of the negative, of selfishness, deceit, irresponsibility and even crime. Any of us who say that this is not true for them, will likely be practising self-righteousness in their judgment and condemnation of others, whom they regard as doing those things. The use of self-righteousness is itself a crime, a deceit, an irresponsibility, and an act of selfishness towards our fellow human beings.

  • Conditioning

    • 1.

Conditioning is reinforced when we fail to risk stepping outside of the security we know, to the possible insecurity but also greater possible freedom, that deep down we know exists. (Please see contemplations on Education).

  • Conduct

    • 1.

In speaking of an example of conduct with another, we can retain our virtue by not placing the example upon their shoulders, but rather by carrying it ourselves. This leaves the other free to interpret, and we keep faith with ourselves for shouldering the responsibility.

  • Confidence

    • 1.

Genuine confidence arises from confiding with our true nature. From this develops the foundation of trusting in our own abilities.

  • Confidentiality

    • 1.

If someone confides in us, then it is our obligation to see it as confidential. However if a confidence becomes a burden, it is best released to the infinite elements of nature.

    • 2.

A truth told in confidence is generally regarded by many as being sacred. But an untruth told in confidence has nothing sacred about it, and may need to be exposed.

  • Confirmation Bias

    • 1.

Confirmation bias does not necessarily need evidence, it just requires a blind or unexamined, willing acceptance and belief. And so to approach a subject with a confirmation bias, will generally produce its own confirming conclusion, whether it is for or against. Therefore, if we are truly concerned with discovering truth, we also need to openly examine the opposite of our bias. By stepping back from our prejudicial mindset or attitude, to become tolerant and fair. And to look from other points of view, as well as from a larger, over-arching perspective.

  • Conflict

    • 1.

Conflict can only happen between opposing egos, not between hearts or souls.
