| Monopoly

  • 1.

Wherever monopolies have existed, predictable consequences occur, such as tendencies of over-control both internally within the organisation and externally over large parts of society, along with a lack of openness, which attracts like-minded people and organisations with similar controlling and financial interests to broaden their base. Monopolies survive by having strict hierarchical levels of control over all in-house members, staff, managers and so on, that usually have a strong networking connection to various institutions such as government, banks, media, universities and so on, which themselves are also greater or lesser forms of monopolies.
