| Fault Finding
- 1.
We are instituting ourselves as a judging authority, if we are prone to condemn, disapprove, criticise or blame others. An authority who chooses to pull on various threads of behaviour and pick them apart, in order to emphasise faults, as though they were a permanent condition and not a passing experience. But a number of questions need to be asked – Do we want our primary form of communication to be as a fault-finder? Can we expect to have a relationship with someone where we are emphasising their faults? Will emphasising faults, without any acknowledgment of the worthy, keep communication open? Are we prone to finding fault in others because of the proximity of our own? And do we want to live in a world where faults and fault finding are predominantly emphasised?
