Arrogance is the anxious greed of the ego breeding more ego. The arrogant person thinks that ego is their true state of being. They think that this state must be vigorously upheld and sometimes inflated. Particularly when threatened by what they perceive to be only the minor ego rights of others, with whom, deep down they fear they are in competition with.
