| Self-Conscious 1

Self-consciousness brings to the surface the latent subconscious fears we harbour, that we may then have greater awareness of them and begin to heal. Self-consciousness breaks through our usual composure in order to make apparent our inner residual turmoil. When we are self-conscious, we are more connected to our turmoil than to the source of our true nature. Self-consciousness is a process of the negative ego, the self that is isolated in the presence of others. The self that wonders is it good enough?
