| Head-Focus 1

Our ancestors undoubtedly spent much of their time and energy in their bodies, and dealing with their physical environment. However, it is patently obvious that modern human beings spend an enormous amount of time and energy being head-focused, in thoughts and emotions. Conceivably, this could be a cause of the escalating rise in mental and emotional illness, including anxiety, depression, ocd, panic, other mood disorders, stress and so on. And is also a mirror of our modern lifestyle with its largely technological, head-focused way of being. (Please see contemplations on True Nature, as well as the contemplation on Heart number 22).
