| Government 1

The possessors of authority in our society must also possess ears, that they may truly listen. Hearts, that they may have compassion, understanding and the love of people to carry through with their promises. Eyes, that they may behold the consequences of their power, the ability to see injustice, and the vision to lead towards the greater good. If they do not have these senses, their authority will be dictatorial, and consequently they rule without permission. Their mandate to the people will not be fulfilled, and therefore they cannot demand our compliance.
